Background

Wendy is an accredited sound energy practitioner and Reiki I & II certified. She leads sound baths and offers group and individual sound healing sessions that enable the power of sound vibrations to calm the nervous system and promote a higher-level of well-being.

Wendy’s training began with Lydia Hwang, a sound and color vibrational healer who studied with Sound Master Fabian Maman and Master Chime creator Wolfgang Dienert. More recently, Wendy studied with Tom Llewellyn, Founder of SoulRemember Academy and received her Level IV sound healing certification from Ann Martin Founder, of BLISSBowls.  Wendy was indoctrinated into the path of enlightenment by Brahmarishi Prasun Mishra and co-hosted meditation and sound gatherings with Dr. Mishra throughout the Bay Area.

In Monterey County, she hosts individual, private and group gatherings at places such as:  Carmel Sound Healing’s Sound Sanctuary, Yoga Shala by the Sea, Pebble Beach Spa, Carmel Valley Ranch,  Monterey County Museum of Art, Carmel Retreat Center, Carmel Valley Athletic Club, Hacienda Carmel Valley, and more. She often co-hosts large public gatherings with other musicians, vocalists and artists to create multi-dimensional and memorable experiences outside in nature, at corporate retreats or private residences.

Growing up, Wendy spent most of her time in NYC dancing and choreographing for musicals and workshops.  Before she traded in her briefcase for sound healing instruments, she was Founder and CEO of a PR firm that created executive visibility programs for CEOs of F500 companies including, Xerox, Cisco, Adobe, eBay and Paypal.

Wendy graduated from Skidmore College with a Bachelor of Science in Epidemiology and then received her Master’s in Education from  Stanford University.

About Sound Baths

Sound Baths combine healing sounds with deep peaceful breathing and a guided meditation to create space for attendees to access their own healing potential and rest. Very often attendees feel refreshed and at peace—leading to an evening of deep sleep.

Researchers have found that sound waves affect the human nervous system--decreasing blood pressure, reducing anxiety and enhancing mood states. Ancient cultures have been using similar instruments or sonic frequency technologies for more than 2,000 years. Sound instruments create a space of special frequencies and vibrations that have proven to be both relaxing and revitalizing.

Sound travels nearly three times faster through water than through air, and as the human body is nearly 80% water in body weight and 100% in body chemistry, the effects of sound therapy can be both profound, and instantaneous.
